Digital Humanities

The Sabrosa History and Archaeology Association promotes new information, research and communication technologies in various ways. In this sense, a specialised office has been created in one of the most emblematic and interesting areas of the so-called digital humanities: the digitisation and multidimensional printing of historical and archaeological elements.

Using various technologies of multidimensional scanning, terrestrial photogrammetry, studio photogrammetry and aerial photogrammetry, the AHAS Digital Humanities office promotes the digitisation of heritage elements and their printing in various scales, formats and typologies. With the use of open source tools such as Blender, Creality Slider, Photoscan and other tools, and the use of 3D printers, the HD office combines new technologies with research, enhancement and dissemination of the cultural, historical and archaeological heritage of the region.

The Digital Humanities Office also promotes specialised training in Digital Humanities, photogrammetry and 3D printing, allied to the historical and archaeological study.
